An Epic Weekend at the 2026 Suncoast Student Retreat

The Providence Youth Group recently returned from an unforgettable weekend at the 2026 Suncoast Student Retreat in Lake Placid, and we are filled with gratitude for all that the Lord did during this special time. From meaningful worship to deep fellowship, the retreat was truly an experience our students will carry with them for years to come.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Covenant Church of Naples | PCA for their exceptional planning and organization. Every detail of the retreat reflected intentional care for students—from the creative and energetic games that kept everyone laughing, to the thoughtfully planned schedule that created space for connection, rest, and spiritual growth. The love and effort poured into this weekend were a tremendous blessing to our youth and leaders alike.

One of the highlights of the retreat was the powerful worship and teaching that continually directed our hearts back to Jesus. The worship music created a space for students to engage deeply, while the messages delivered by Pastor Tim Johnson challenged and encouraged our youth to grow in their faith. These moments of teaching and reflection helped students wrestle with truth, ask meaningful questions, and better understand what it looks like to follow Christ in everyday life.

Equally impactful was the opportunity to partner with and spend time alongside other youth groups from the Suncoast Presbytery. Playing games together, sharing meals, worshiping side by side, and engaging in group activities helped form new friendships and strengthen bonds within the broader church community. It was a beautiful picture of the body of Christ coming together, united in faith and fellowship.

We are deeply thankful for Pastor Peter Stonecipher and the dedicated volunteers who continually invest in our youth. Your love, time, and commitment do not go unnoticed, and your faithfulness plays a vital role in shaping the spiritual lives of our students.

So many memories were made this weekend—memories filled with joy, laughter, growth, and encouragement. We are already looking ahead with excitement and anticipation to the 2027 Suncoast Student Retreat, trusting that the Lord will continue his good work in the lives of our youth.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, supported, served, and helped make this retreat such a meaningful experience. We praise God for his faithfulness and for the ways he is at work in and through our students.
