Summer Youth Retreat

July 24-26, the Providence Youth enjoyed a memorable summer retreat at Pine Island KOA Holiday in St. James City.

The theme, Island Time, was inspired by Luke 5:16: “But he would withdraw to desolate places and pray.” Pastor Peter led meaningful sessions focused on The Lord’s Prayer, using the ACTS model—Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication—to guide our understanding of prayer.

Bob and Pam Johns brought the fun as game masters, with Pam also leading morning devotions that helped center the group each day.

Our amazing culinary crew—Grace Fox, Andrea Kidder, and Beth Wisner—kept everyone well-fed with delicious meals throughout the weekend.

Stacey Lakes served as our nurse extraordinaire, making sure all minor mishaps were lovingly cared for.

Cabin leaders Maria Lakes, Zac Rullo, and Jeremiah Wisner energized their groups, encouraged participation, and brought the fun to every game and activity.

It was truly a weekend of joy, connection, prayer, music, study, and worship.
